Romanos Kefalidis

My name is Romanos Kefalidis and I come from Athens, Greece. One of the main reasons I chose the M.A in International Security and Diplomacy (MAISD) was the fact that it brings people together, literally from all over the world .Within this environment you get the chance to experience different cultures and therefore, approaches to issues of international politics, a factor greatly important should one wishes to pursue a diplomatic career, but also valuable to people attached to the international arena in any other way. Hence, those various mindsets and backgrounds all mixed up in one class for a whole year, seems like the perfect incubator for productive argument and ideas and could easily be described as one of the program's greatest successes. Regardless of your background, the structure of the program and teaching methods allows you to blend in within a short time.

Intensive as it may be, the MAISD combines the in-class theoretical knowledge with the practical one (field trips/ambassador forums), which makes it more complete with regard to other similar M.A. programs in the field. To me, the foregoing practical part provided by top specialists not only completes the intake of knowledge, but most importantly helps you create a solid network of people one can always have access to, in future time. An additional aspect that I cherished the most, was how well linked the program was to the marketplace. The director/s keep you up-to-date with the latest internship opportunities, job offers, seminars and events all year round and are always willing to provide assistance should there are any particular interests or requests.

All in all, both the MAISD and the social experience Tel Aviv has to offer, are highly recommended for people who are looking for the continuation of their studies on a graduate level or those who just wish to pursue additional training in the field for their existing careers.
