Dr. Or Honig

Dr. Or Arthur Honig is a lecturer (equivalent to US tenure track assistant professor) in the department of political science at Tel Aviv University. He earned his PhD at UCLA, writing his dissertation on  peace processes resolving intra-state conflicts. He was subsequently the Granatstein postdoctoral fellow at the Centre for Military and Strategic Studies at the University of Calgary. He is the author of a number of articles on intelligence, counterterrorism, and Middle East politics. He has published mainly on Israeli and American foreign and defense policies. His publications have appeared, inter alia, in the following venues: Security Studies, International Relations, Journal of Strategic Studies, Studies in Conflict and Terrorism. His current research focuses on the political consequences of military defeats in the Middle East as well as on American foreign policy in the region. He teaches courses on strategy and civil-military relations, as well as on terrorism and finally on dynamics of political violence in intra-state conflicts.
